This week I've been focusing on playing the introduction to the song "See You Again". I'm somewhat impressed with how my progress is going for only a week. So far, I have learned how to play the notes of the intro but its the timing I have trouble with. This week I'm going to practice the timing as well the next part of the song. Here's what I have so far. Enjoy!
After some research, I decided to learn piano via a Synthesia tutorial. Synthesia is a piano keyboard training videogame. It's a fun way to learn to play piano at your own speed. The specific tutorial I'm using is by a Youtuber named PlutaX. He's created a supposedly "easy" tutorial for the song "See You Again". So far so good. I really like how the tutorial breaks down the notes without using the formal sheet music. This tutorial reminds me of the old videogame, "Dance Dance Revolution". Overall, it highlights the notes to play and how long to hold it for. I am really glad I found it.

Wow Megan! That sounds great! I'm glad you found a fun way to learn that works for you! Are you just playing that by memory or do you know how to read music? Either way it looks like you are making good progress and I can't wait to hear the rest of the song! Keep up the good work.

I haven't learned how to read music. I'm playing from memory after using this online tool called Synthesia.

Thank you for your post Ms. Gonzalez! I love the piano, and it is one my favorite musical instruments that I would like to learn how to play. Thank you also for the video of your progress. You're doing great! Keep up the good work and practice a lot; you'll play the entire song in no time!
